Mr.Jaspal Suri was inspired to start this radio station by his mother  Ms.Prakash Kaur , a popular Punjabi folk singer during old days

A Rich History
89.3FM was launched in 1998 to serve the South Asian community in Central New Jersey. On August 14th of 1999, 89.3 broadcast became 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Thus, making 89.3FM America's First 24 x 7 all South Asian FM Community Radio Station.

DHOOM FMis the home of 89.3 FM and 100.7 FM which provides extended coverage of the live broadcast from Hazlet, New Jersey.
